Zenith UK Office Celebrates Junior Engineer Recruitment and Becoming MES Centre of Excellence

Helena Rogers, Marketing Executive

The UK office has been in operation for over 7 years now and in this time has experienced unprecedented growth nearing 100 engineers and operations staff. This has taken us from being a part of the European region, to a fledgling region of our own. Our teams in the UK currently work on various different projects encompassing; design and development, deployment, and transitions to support services. The majority of clients within the UK region are firmly seated in the Life Sciences Sector. Our biggest growth area sits within the Manufacturing Execution Systems arena, which counts for a large percentage of our UK business. The continued strength and capability of our engineers in the UK has led to us being awarded as the MES Centre of Excellence within the Zenith group.

Historically, most of our growth has been through recruiting engineers who bring a wealth of knowledge and years of experience to our projects. Whilst this has been important to our business, we have identified that we also need to give these experienced engineers the opportunity to pass on this accumulated knowledge. The plan is that we will facilitate this, by bringing in a number of Junior Engineers and building our capability from within.

IMG_0916This week the UK office begins to realise this plan by welcoming six new graduates to join us as Junior MES Engineers, with two more joining in coming weeks. These graduates come to us from a wide variety of backgrounds including; Chemical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Sciences and IT. The new recruits are ambitious and excited about joining our growing region, and are eager to soak up the amazing opportunities that Zenith can offer, with some of them relocating from as far afield as Glasgow and London.

The new recruits will be spread across both the deployment teams and the service and support teams. The graduate programme will see them move through the business learning / developing skills, with an aim to become subject matter experts within their chosen technology and expertise.

What the new Junior MES Engineers have to say about their new roles at Zenith Technologies:

“As a fresh graduate it is great to have been taken on by a great company like Zenith. The graduate program has a lot to offer in terms of gaining a large range of skills and opportunities to work in different areas. Everyone here has been so helpful and kind which has made it easy for me to settle in. I am looking forward to what lies ahead for me here at Zenith.” Samuel Glover, Junior MES Engineer

“I am extremely pleased to have gained a wonderful opportunity as a Junior MES Engineer at Zenith Technologies, it relieves me from the thoughts of working so hard throughout my full time education, and then not being able to make the best out of the skills and knowledge gained, it feeds my confidence within myself.” Nazia Ashraf, Junior MES Engineer

“I recently graduated with an honours degree in chemical engineering from the University of the West of Scotland. I am pleased and excited to be joining Zenith Technologies as a Junior MES Engineer and look forward to gaining valuable knowledge and experience throughout my career here.” Scott O Neill, Junior MES Engineer
