Zenith Technologies are looking to hire a Laboratory Systems and Integration Engineer to join our client site based in Dublin. The successful candidate will report to the IT Applications Manager and will be a key leader to add biologics Large Scale Cell Culture manufacturing capacity.

He/she will be responsible for ensuring reliable, robust and compliant Quality Control Laboratory IT systems technical design to meet business requirements including integration of Chromatography systems and benchtop analytical equipment to these systems and supporting integration to other systems such as MES.

The LAB-ENG will work closely with the Quality Control team and corporate IT functions to deliver systems. This position will support project delivery of Laboratory IT systems for the new Global Biologics Laboratory. The role will support project delivery of Laboratory IT systems for the larger LOC building. Post LOC project delivery this role will play a key technical support function for all site Laboratory IT systems including analytical equipment and will be system owner for a subset of these systems.

The LAB-ENG serves as a principal technical liaison between the IT/ Applications Manager, IT Laboratory Systems Project manager, Global Biologics Laboratory Quality Control team, site/project team, other internal resources & external engineers, contractors and suppliers. Works closely with other technical resources responsible for the LSCC, IT, LOC and Quality organisation to deliver this key project

Qualifications, Experience / Skills:

  • Bachelors or Master’s Degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science or the Life Sciences.
  • At least 3 years’ experience providing Lab IT systems solutions and support to manufacturing organisations in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industries.
  • Experience during project delivery and operations support of highly integrated Lab IT systems. Experience with the following systems would be preferred: LIMS (Sample Manager - ThermoFisher), Environmental Monitoring (MODA), Chromatography (Empower – Waters), Lab Data Archival (Nugenesis – Waters), Electronic Methods Execution/Electronic Lab Notebook (SmartLab – Biovia) and Testing Standards & Methods Mgmt (AQV – Waters).
  • Experience directing system design, configuration and application of business processes in a biopharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
